There are numerous types of relationships to explore when considering compatibility between two signs. We grow up in a parent/child dynamic. Outside our family we form friendships with other children and eventually other adults. We look for and find love. And, we go to work and have careers, interacting with employers and co-workers.
Each sign-to-sign interaction guides our behavior in every relationship. Read through this section to find out how each of the above dynamics works astrologically so you can experience the optimal way to communicate and get along with your sign and all the other signs.
The Taurus-and-Gemini interaction takes work, not flowing easily. As the “I establish” sign of the Zodiac, Taurus prefers well-worn paths, plodding along, and playing it safe. Gemini is the “I communicate” sign of the Zodiac and is open-minded, curious, and intelligent. A long-term relationship (outside parent/child) may happen, but it will take effort since Gemini can struggle to stay on task and Taurus can struggle to explore new ideas.
Taurus Parent/Gemini Child
The Taurus parent and Gemini child can really frustrate each other. Gemini wants to understand everything and can be easily distracted by new ideas and passing interests, which makes repetitive tasks boring for them. The Taurus parent is all about repetitive tasks, especially where chores and responsibilities apply. Take making the bed as an example, Taurus will want it done at the same time and in the same way each day; the Gemini child will want to do it differently each day, and maybe not at all some days.
Gemini Parent/Taurus Child
The Gemini parent and Taurus child will also struggle because their energy designs are very different. The Gemini parent will want their children to be communicative and adaptable, open-minded, and flexible to new and unexpected changes in life. The Taurus child wants to feel safe, secure, and know-how each day is likely to unfold in consistent and repeating patterns. Their thinking is often focused and consistent, sticking to thoughts and ideas that they find “tried and true”. If it works, be glad, and stick with it.
Taurus Friend/Gemini Friend
Taurus and Gemini friends probably happen because of circumstances more than choice, like being neighbors living next door to each other or ending up riding the elevator in an apartment complex together. The Gemini will engage with anyone, even the Taurus who might be resistant to talking because “I don’t know you”. If a pattern of interaction begins to unfold and seeps into the routine of the Taurus, then a friendship can develop.
Taurus Lover/Gemini Lover
This romance, love, sex combination can be interesting, if not profound. These are very different energies to fall in love and even have a sexual connection. One is of the earth (Taurus) and one is of the air (Gemini). Gemini may find the Taurus lover too physical and … well … boring. And the Taurus may find the Gemini lover too cerebral and experimental. If they do make a romance or love affair work, other factors in the chart will have to help.
Taurus Employer/Gemini Employee
The Taurus employer and the Gemini employee may really struggle. Taurus likes to do what works and keep using the same processes and tools that work consistently. A Gemini employee is likely to be frustrated, wanting a lot more variety and needing plenty of stimulation. If the employer and employee can find a role in the communication hub of the company, there is a much better chance of the dynamic working. One thing is for sure, the Gemini employee can count on a consistent paycheck from a Taurus employer.
Gemini Employer/Taurus Employee
If the employer is Gemini and the employee is Taurus, this can be a bit tougher on the two, but still healthy for a business relationship. While the Gemini employer is interested in communication, information, and new ideas, the Taurus employee will be sure the necessities of the business get taken care of. Nothing flashy about this employee, which can be a true asset to a Gemini boss, even if they prefer more communication or flexibility from employees.
Taurus Co-worker/Gemini Co-worker
These two had better have a manager or employer who can pull out the best of what they both offer, which will be very different approaches. The Taurus is naturally conservative and not really wowed by the latest and greatest, while the Gemini easily tires of old patterns. These can be two employees to bring in and look at the same problem because they really will see very different solutions … heck, they may not even see the same problem.
