Welcome to the Monthly Tarotscope, a combination of Astrology and Tarot/Oracle Cards. Each month I will draw a card for your sign of the Zodiac. That card represents the meditation for the month for that Sun Sign. The Sun Sign represents your Primary Drive in life, how you best manifest your Life Path, and how the light of the Sun energizes you each day. This month I have chosen to use the Zombie Tarot by Paul Kepple and Stacey Graham.
Tarotscope for Aries (Mar 21 to Apr 19)
Maverick Active Fire energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best independently; you must learn self-discipline to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Queen of Cups. The keywords for this card are intuitive, devoted, and emotional.
From the Booklet: Nurturing, playful, and communicative despite her absence of lips, the Queen of Cups feels that life is a party. Her house often overflows with friends seeking counsel and advice; this Queen has an uncanny ability to hear and understand the mysteries of the universe. Look for new prospects in the areas of children, animals, spiritual matters, and the environment. (51)
When this card appears in a reading, it is time to persevere and keep going, no matter what the difficulties or obstacles. If others seek you out for advice, be truthful with them and help them face their problems with dignity and fortitude, the same way you need to face your challenges this month. If life is going well, keep doing the actions and taking the steps to ensure positive results and healthy relationships. This Queen understands and embraces the seriousness of life, which is how she survives and thrives when the going gets tough.
Tarotscope for Taurus (Apr 20 to May 20)
Persistent Stable Earth energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you feel secure; you must learn some degree of adaptability to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Ten of Hazards. The keywords for this card are wealth, family, and contentment.
From the booklet: The end of a cycle is upon us, bringing the family close and the zombies even closer. You’re able to welcome them into your home as an asset instead of a problem, even if they do require nightly muzzles. Surely the other adversaries in your life seem tame by comparison. (90)
When this card appears in a reading, you should work to enjoy and increase your wealth. What are you doing to gain in this lifetime and make sure you and your family are safe? If you have wealth, be sure you are protecting it and managing it properly. If you are building wealth, be sure you are keeping your “ear to the ground”, so you can adapt and keep yourself and your family on a positive path. This month you should focus on your finances and how they are flowing or being blocked. Devote time to a financial review and look for ways to prosper.
Tarotscope for Gemini (May 21 to Jun 20)
Curious Adaptable Air energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best-doing tasks that stimulate your mind in a variety of ways; you must learn how to focus on demand to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the King of Wands. The keywords for this card are entrepreneur, self-reliant, and optimism.
From the booklet: The King of Wands has an independent streak that allows him to see old problems from new perspectives; when his leg was blown off by a land mine, he fashioned a new one out of wood. Something of a loner, the King of Wands may not be the cuddliest person in your life, but there’s no better source for inventive, practical advice. (He’s especially good with business and construction.) (66)
With this card drawn, you must see how to chart your own path and act boldly. This month is one for risk-taking and leaping into the fray. You have to tune out the naysayers, both out in the world and inside your head. Be present and look to the future; the past has nothing to offer you this month. Even if you make a misstep, it will be better than trying to hold the line or wish for a different outcome because of previous choices.
Tarotscope for Cancer (Jun 21 to Jul 22)
Nurturing Active Water fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you care-take yourself and others properly; you must learn “emotional balance” to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Eight of Swords. The keywords for this card are lack of action, victimization, and no-win situations.
From the booklet: All is not lost! Granted, this situation doesn’t look good, but when zombies are nibbling on your nether regions it’s important to keep your head. Stay focused. Instead of letting the situation overwhelm you, figure out a means to escape. It’s not zombies holding you back – it’s the fear of the unknown. Okay, and maybe the zombies. (21)
When this card appears in a reading, you need to face your limits analytically and figure out how to overcome them. You may be where you are because of your own choices or because of circumstances outside your control, and most likely, because of both. Time to find your fighter’s spirit and assess your situation and the world around you and figure out how you are going to overcome and move towards positive action. Use each day this month to accomplish something, no matter how small or big, and make a note in your own mind about your success. Build on that energy throughout the month until you get momentum taking you forward that moves you away from despair and negative thinking.
Tarotscope for Leo (Jul 23 to Aug 22)
Strong-burning Stable Fire fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you are creative; you must learn structure to manifest your best results. Your card this month is Ace of Hazards. The keywords for this card are possibilities, financial rewards, and new beginnings.
From the booklet: The Ace of Hazards symbolizes fresh starts and new opportunities – and the need for a plan to make the most of them. This ace recognizes the hard work that got you to this point and gives you an extra hand to assist with the next step in your march toward global domination. Think of this card as a high-five from the undead. (81)
When this card appears in a reading, you need to start a new endeavor, which may mean moving to a new location, changing jobs, or starting your own business. This card is about beginnings that happen in the world, not in your mind or your heart, but in reality. What do you need to begin, and where and how? Use this month to invest in an activity, hobby, business, or training that will take you down a new path. Get past thinking about it or feeling it and do it!
Tarotscope for Virgo (Aug 23 to Sep 22)
Practical Adaptable Earth fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you get all the details in order; you must learn to “see the forest for the trees” to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Eight of Wands. The keywords for this card are travel, expansion, and on the move.
From the booklet: Faster than you can say … well, most anything, since you’ve lost your tongue, you’ve been presented with a new opportunity. Travel is imminent, so choose a path to stagger along and enjoy the occasional human morsel as you go. If you take charge, others will follow your lead. Trust your inner zombie and roll with it. Good news is coming. Brace yourself for awesome. (60)
When this card appears in a reading, it is time to seize the day, or in this case, the month, and put your energy into a project, work, or relationship with all your heart and soul. You need to hyper-focus on one aspect of your life and make huge leaps forward. If there is a chance to gain at work, put in the 60 hours a week for the next four weeks. If you know you want to be with someone for the rest of your life, propose marriage! Do not hold back; go for it!
Tarotscope for Libra (Sep 23 to Oct 22)
Analytical Active Air fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when acting logically; you must learn to mix in feelings to manifest your best results. Your card this month is The Empress. The keywords for this card are fertility, maternal, and success.
From the booklet: A feminine force to be reckoned with, the Empress embodies the cycles of birth, death, and reincarnation. Her maternal instincts kick into high gear whenever her offspring are threatened. She knows there’s no problem she can’t solve with patience, love, and a shovel to the back of the head. She is a nurturer, so her home is filled with both the living and the undead. Watch where you step. (19)
When this card appears in a reading, you need to make sure you are upholding your value and being treated properly. If you are nurturing others, be sure they are proving to be worth your effort. While the Empress is “one who gives and cares”, she only does so when she is respected, honored, and repaid. Her patience is great, but not infinite. So, this month review all your relationships and determine which ones are worthy and which ones are worthless. Get rid of worthless relationships so you can give more energy to the worthy ones.
Tarotscope for Scorpio (Oct 23 to Nov 21)
Intense Persistent Water energy fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when bringing or experiencing transformation; you must learn “playfulness or lightness of heart” to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Seven of Swords. The keywords for this card are theft, sabotage, and deception.
From the booklet: There’s one in every bunch. Keep an eye out for the person who is a little too enthusiastic about fondling the firepower. It’s possible she’s putting her own interests ahead of the group’s.
When confronted with a plan, make sure it’s best for everyone involved; if it sounds sketchy, it probably is. (73) When this card appears in a reading, you need to update your passwords for all your accounts, make sure you know what to do if you lose your wallet, and be sure your car and home are locked properly at all times. Do not answer your phone unless you know the number; let voice mail handle unknown calls. Consider mixing up your routine this month; increase your guard and be more diligent during this month.
Tarotscope for Sagittarius (Nov 22 to Dec 21)
Expansive Adaptable Fire fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best by exploring openly and trying new experiences; you must learn to map and record your knowledge to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Ten of Wands. The keywords for this card are burdens, responsibility, and struggle.
From the booklet: Why does everything have to be your responsibility? Why does the horde expect you to deliver a fresh meal every night? You’re trying to juggle dozens of femurs and mandibles and clavicles, but all this work has left you exhausted and ready to quit. You’ve got every right to feel overwhelmed, but don’t fret – the cycle is ending. A new path will reveal itself soon. (62)
When this card appears in a reading, consider saying “no” a lot this month. This card is a warning card, letting you know that you are taking on too much and could be close to burnout. If that happens, you will face a setback that could significantly disrupt your life. Let phone calls go to voice mail, set a certain time of the day to read your emails, and tell people, “No”, when they try to add more of their drama into your life. This month you need to guard your energy and time; otherwise, you could be inviting anxiety or depression in as the only way to force a break that your body, spirit, and mind need.
Tarotscope for Capricorn (Dec 22 to Jan 19)
Ambitious Active Earth fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you are setting and achieving goals; you must learn compassion to manifest your best results. Your card this month is The Sun. The keywords for this card are success, enlightenment, and hope.
From the booklet: Sweet success! The morning sun has risen and the rescue teams have arrived. After foiling a hostile takeover by the undead, you’ve earned a one-way ticket to a safer place. Now it’s time to make plans for the future; consider traveling to warmer climes or getting a new job. There’s money in corpse disposal nowadays … (35)
When this card appears in a reading, you need to be brutally honest with yourself and your assessment of your relationships, work, and life situation. The card is about revelation and truth, seeing things for what they really are. If you struggle to be objective, just imagine yourself as one of your friends looking at your life from the outside or seeing your life as a documentary film. When you “step outside yourself” what do you see clearly for the first time.
Tarotscope for Aquarius (Jan 20 to Feb 18)
Unconventional Stable Air fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best when you are authentic and unrepentant; you must learn quiet fortitude to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Two of Cups. The keywords for this card are harmony, balance, and compromise.
From the booklet: Representing the union of two people, the Two of Cups speaks of a happy balance between two parties who can finally sit down at the dinner table without fighting. After all, what’s a minor zombie infection among friends? This could be the beginning of a budding romance. (40)
Receiving this card indicates the need to make a positive connection with someone, romantically or platonically. The person you want to spend time with is NOT a “devil’s advocate” but rather a companion of like mind, whose interactions are easy and fun. It is a card about flirtation, attraction, and the joys of sharing. Who do you know that always puts a smile on your face? Be sure to spend plenty of time with them this month.
Tarotscope for Pisces (Feb 19 to Mar 20)
Imaginative Adaptable Water fuels your Primary Drive. Your Life Path energy operates best by connecting with others emotionally; you must learn toughness to manifest your best results. Your card this month is the Ten of Swords. The keywords for this card are disaster, rot and ruin, and destruction.
From the booklet: You’ve come to the end of the line – and this certainly isn’t the outcome you’d hope for. Betrayal, disappointment, and despair cloud your attitude, but these feelings won’t last forever. The Ten of Swords reminds us that sometimes we need to cast old interests aside and start over. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. (28-29)
When this card appears in a reading, you need to accept that a relationship or situation is good and truly done. If you continue to persist, it will lead to ruin and more pain and suffering than accepting the loss or failure. Often this card appears as a “last opportunity” to get off a sinking ship or out of a burning building. If you ignore the warning, you will drown or go up in flames; no good comes of ignoring the “writing on the wall”.
