Full Moon in Capricorn – Achievement and Responsibility 

This Full Moon will take place in the 3rd decan (last 10 degrees) of Capricorn, making it a Capricorn/Virgo Full Moon. The planetary influence involves Saturn as the ruler for Capricorn and Mercury as the ruler for Virgo. Thus, this Full Moon will be about taking practical steps (Virgo) to achieve what our heart knows will make us successful (Capricorn). 

Since the Moon is in Capricorn, its energy is serious and responsible. This Full Moon is going to require us to reflect on what we feel is the best way for us to achieve and be successful. The intensity of this Full Moon around setting goals and doing what needs to be done cannot be emphasized enough.  

Thanks to the decan placement, this Full Moon will be about what we need to do (Capricorn) to take care of those closest to us (Sun in Cancer).  

With this Full Moon at 21d21m the Sabian Symbol is 22 Capricorn, “A general accepting defeat gracefully.” Jones says, “This is a symbol of the immediate opportunism by which the human will develops its real power, and of its underlying and uncompromising loyalty to the long-range ends in view. Eight is the number for leadership and power, so this Full Moon encourages us to embrace the soul path work needed to lean into our strengths and share them with the world. Since the Full Moon happens on the 13th, which totals 4, we must look to reliable sources (4) and trusted people (4) for our leadership, duty, and success.
