There are numerous types of relationships to explore when considering compatibility between two signs. We grow up in a parent/child dynamic. Outside our family, we form friendships with other children and eventually other adults. We look for and find love. And, we go to work and have careers, interacting with employers and co-workers.
Each sign-to-sign interaction guides our behavior in every relationship. Read through this section to find out how each of the above dynamics works astrologically so you can experience the optimal way to communicate and get along with your sign and all the other signs.
The Gemini-and-Pisces interaction is challenging, since both signs square. However, since both signs are mutable, this interaction is not nearly as difficult as the squares between fixed or cardinal signs. As the “I communicate” sign of the Zodiac, Gemini is open-minded, curious, and intelligent. Pisces is the “I dream” sign of the Zodiac and is intuitive, visionary, and imaginative. A long-term relationship (outside parent/child) is possible, but not likely due to the flowing and easily distracted nature of both signs.
Gemini Parent/Pisces Child
The Gemini parent and Pisces child will likely just be together or not. Pisces is the vast ocean and the rain falling from the sky, while Gemini is the wind blowing through the trees. Thus, the two represent the fundamental energy of change and adaptability. The child and the parent both need containers, but neither of them is really designed to function that way, so this dynamic can be a bit all over the place. It can be a pleasant enough experience, but the lack of restriction may not prove so healthy for a Pisces child.
Pisces Parent/Gemini Child
The Pisces parent and Gemini child will interact in pretty much the same way as the Gemini parent and Pisces child. In the other dynamic, the parent will try to understand the child by “learning about the child and child psychology” while the Pisces parent will try to understand the child “intuitively”. As you might guess, this kind of distinctly different approach to teaching and learning can leave both struggling to connect on deeper or more profound levels.
Gemini Friend/Pisces Friend
Gemini and Pisces can be good friends, in fact. These signs can be easy-come/easy-go, which works well in a friendship where the relationship does not have to persist if the two people, or even one person, does not want it to. They can enjoy each other’s company, but if something or someone else gains their attention, they can move on to whatever is more interesting, either intellectually for the Gemini or emotionally for the Pisces.
Gemini Lover/Pisces Lover
This romance, love, sex combination can be rather interesting if not particularly enduring. The theme with these two signs is that they are designed to work best with the fixed and cardinal signs more so than with their other mutable comrades. As lovers, there are really no limits or boundaries, which can be a problem when both people are “boundaryless”. If they are going to have something long-lasting, other factors in the chart will have to be present and provide stability.
Gemini Employer/Pisces Employee
The Gemini employer and the Pisces employee really will not stand out or be very dramatic. They may even have minimal interaction even when they are in the same room together. Pisces, in the employee role, will want to adapt and support his or her boss, regardless of sign, and will do so using intuition. This approach will work fine for Gemini, since, as an employer, he or she wants each member of the team to work in the best way to help them succeed and make the business successful.
Pisces Employer/Gemini Employee
If the employer is a Pisces and the employee is Gemini, this combination is pretty much the same. The difference in approach is more about the difference in the elements. Gemini will use information and verbal communication to lead while Pisces will use intuition and emotional intelligence to lead. Since both these signs prefer to serve and adapt, they can easily work with just about any other sign, but they will not have the push or focus they get working with the fixed or cardinal signs.
Gemini Co-worker/Pisces Co-worker
This combination works fine. What they both need is a good leader, with a clear focus, process, and measurable outcomes. They can work together so long as their roles are defined and they know what they should be doing as co-workers in any situation. Without good management, they will likely work side-by-side and enjoy casual interaction, but not stand out as co-workers.
