There are numerous types of relationships to explore when considering compatibility between two signs. We grow up in a parent/child dynamic. Outside our family, we form friendships with other children and eventually other adults. We look for and find love. And, we go to work and have careers, interacting with employers and co-workers.
Each sign-to-sign interaction guides our behavior in every relationship. Read through this section to find out how each of the above dynamics works astrologically so you can experience the optimal way to communicate and get along with your sign and all the other signs.
The Aries-and-Gemini interaction is complimentary, dynamic, and fun. As the “I am” sign of the Zodiac, Aries is independent, face-paced, and likes to take risks. Gemini is the “I communicate” sign of the Zodiac and is open-minded, curious, and intelligent. A long-term relationship (outside parent/child) may happen, but this combination is very similar to Aries-and-Aries or Gemini-and-Gemini, meaning they can be “friends with benefits”, moving in and out of each other’s lives easily.
Aries Parent/Gemini Child
The Aries parent and Gemini child can have a wonderful relationship. Gemini wants to understand everything and can be easily present when engaging with his or her Aries parent. If they cannot engage with the parent, if they have some activity or other person to engage with them, they will be fine. This “easy in, easy out” interaction will suit the Aries parent just fine, so long as they remember the Gemini child needs constant stimulation, even if the parent is not providing it.
Gemini Parent/Aries Child
The Gemini parent and Aries child will work well but may be a little more of a demanding relationship for the Aries child than when the roles are reversed. The Gemini parent will have no trouble with the freedom and independence aspect of their Aries child, but they may find the Aries child “out and about” when they would like to be more engaged with their child. Still, a Gemini parent will offer their children loads of activities and ideas to explore.
Aries Friend/Gemini Friend
Aries and Gemini friends can have a lot of fun together. Aries will try anything, and Gemini will be up for anything. And if Gemini wants to find out about an activity or person, they only need to tweak or goad the Aries, and they will “go for it”. These energies can really enjoy an easy and playful friendship, never overly emotional or dramatic. What you see is what you get, and they will both appreciate that energy together.
Aries Lover/Gemini Lover
This romance, love, sex combination is easy-going. If it works, great; if it does not, oh well. This can be one of the most experimental if often short-lived romances or love affairs. Both signs are curious, and the Aries lover is always ready to act. The Gemini can sometimes get caught in his or her head with ideas about romance, love, and sex, so the Aries partner can get things moving along, even if both are easily diverted further into the relationship.
Aries Employer/Gemini Employee
The Aries employer and the Gemini employee can get along fine, but it may not prove to be a fruitful interaction, from a productivity standpoint. Gemini needs a “container”; otherwise, it can get scattered. And Aries is not really the sign to lay out clear workflow charts and definable strategies. Figuring it out as you go can make a Gemini employee unproductive. If the Gemini has a clear support role involving communication or the management of data/information, then the Aries will let them do their job and just want to reap the benefits.
Gemini Employer/Aries Employee
If the employer is Gemini and the employee is Aries, this combination works better. Gemini wants to know what is going on and communicate across the network of his or her employees and business. As long as they give the Aries a clear task and deadline, they can “turn them loose” and wait for the work to come in on the deadline. Gemini employers want to know what’s going on but do not necessarily want to control everything, which an Aries employee will greatly appreciate.
Aries Co-worker/Gemini Co-worker
These two had better have a manager or employer who can keep them on task; otherwise, they will have WAY too much fun together, which could cut into their productivity and annoy other co-workers who are far more serious and determined to follow protocols. From a human resources standpoint, though, these two will get along just fine. The amplified energy together just needs direction and some clearly defined expectations.
