Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, a love story destined to die?

In her biography Worthy, Jada Pinkett Smith reveals that she hasn’t been in a relationship with Will Smith for seven years. She assures us: by the time Will Smith famously slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022, they were already separated.

Let’s look back at the story of this Hollywood couple: were they made to last? Could astrology have predicted their future as a couple?

What is Synastry?

Synastry is a branch of astrology that looks at the relationship between two charts, and therefore the relationship between two people. When you take two birth charts and see how they interact with one another you can pinpoint the areas of conflict, as well as the ways in which the relationship will flow easily and naturally.

Astral connections that made them love each other

The warmth of Venus and the Sun

There’s no denying it, the attraction between Will Smith and Jada Pinkett was instant! The two actors first met in 1994, when the actress was auditioning to play Will Smith’s girlfriend in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. They fell in love at first sight, but Will Smith was married to Sheree Zampino Fletcher at the time. After their divorce, Jada Pinkett moved from Baltimore to California with Will Smith. The couple married in 1997.

The Venus-Sun connection brings natural warmth and caring to the relationship. The radiant Sun (Will) and the loving Venus (Jada) are united in harmony.

The freedom of the Sun and Jupiter

Jada Pinkett Smith (Sun) and Will Smith (Jupiter) experienced great freedom during their relationship. They were able to share life moments and passions. Their sense of competitiveness, combined with a deep respect for each other, enabled them to enjoy a variety of personal and professional adventures (acting, singing, producing).

A Saturn-Sun connection to reach their goals

Thanks to Saturn and the Sun, the Pinkett-Smith couple grew. It’s often said that a Saturn person (Jada) uses her own wisdom to guide a Sun person (Will), nurturing their optimism and helping them realize their own potential. In this relationship, the focus is on the growth of both partners and, if marriage takes place, great wealth can be accumulated. History has shown that, as a married couple, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith were able to grow their talents as well as their wealth!

Even so, the stars predicted a few discrepancies

When the Sun and Uranus spark

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett enjoyed a lively, fiery relationship, sometimes too much so! Will (Uranus) was always passionate and eccentric, while Jada (Sun) needed to calm down to concentrate on her projects. All this could lead to a lot of upheaval in their lives (let’s not even mention the Oscars slap!). So there was a constant nervousness between the eccentric Will Smith and the traditional Jada. Lots of excitement, but sometimes a lack of stability!

Pluto and the Sun: opposites don’t always attract

Jada is Pluto, the dark star, while Will is the Sun, the bright star. This aspect suggests the possibility of an unstable relationship. The combination of Pluto’s dark motivations and the Sun’s light creates passionate extremes. The best and the worst are possible. The Sun can transform Pluto with its light, and Pluto can lead the Sun into depths the Sun never knew existed.

The impossibility of seeing the world in the same way between Jupiter and Mars

One final point might have been a warning. Will Smith’s (Mars) instincts and impulses were undoubtedly at odds with Jada Pinkett’s (Jupiter) ideas. Will wanted to assert his rights, without clearly understanding Jada’s point of view, and vice versa. Beliefs may have diverged, especially since the planet Jupiter tends to judge the motivation of others. Frustration and anger pushed Jada and Will towards an individual life, rather than a harmonious and lasting partnership.

In the early days of their relationship, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith could have read the stars to predict their differences and separation, but isn’t a love story, even when it’s over, worth living for?
