Some people enjoy eating to the point that they live to eat, and others are only interested in food if that means they can eat to live. The former often wish that they can be more like the latter. However, those who have zodiac signs such as Taurus, Cancer, Libra, or Sagittarius are the types to live to eat. People who have their suns, moons or rising signs in any of those signs may be prone to finding comfort in eating. Therefore, they may find that they are also prone to weight gain as a result.

Therefore, people with those signs may benefit from avoiding certain foods to help curve weight gain. There are certain foods that those with any sign should avoid or limit eating because the foods can cause more problems to them than nourishment. According to your zodiac sign, let’s take a look at the foods to avoid (or limit).

Aries – Coffee

Aries is passionate, energetic, and restless as it is the first fire sign of the zodiac. Aries is the first sign that commences the zodiac. Because of the sign’s dynamic nature, Aries should limit or even avoid coffee or any caffeinated products such as energy drinks except for individual circumstances such as not getting enough sleep.

However, caffeine is a stimulator, and the last thing Aries needs is something to stimulate them too much. Caffeine can disrupt attention spans and can increase acts of impulsivity. A much better morning drink would be green tea. Green tea has some caffeine, but not enough to have an impact. There are more relaxing properties in green tea.

Taurus – Anything in Moderation is the Key

Taurus is one of those signs that live to eat, as mentioned previously. The fixed earth sign will gravitate towards chocolatey desserts or heavy pasta dishes. It is not a surprise that those with this sign are often prone to weight gain for that reason. However, the last thing to do is to take the favorite food of a Taurus away from them.

Therefore, nothing is off-limits, but moderation is always the key if Taurus wants to become healthy and mindful. Earth involves physical health and being in good health is important to Taurus. Taurus is willing to adjust to stay in good health as long as they know their favorite foods will never be taken away.

Gemini – Anything Bland or Boring

Gemini lives for excitement and wants to engage in anything that they find interesting. The mutable air versatile sign will never be in a good mood if they eat bland or boring foods. For instance, if you find that your Gemini relative is playing with the spaghetti and meatball dish instead of eating it, don’t take it personally. The spaghetti and meatballs dish is too traditional and boring to them.

Instead, offer them a variety of cheeses and meats to add to the pasta dish. If they can add pieces of salami, ham, and bacon to the pasta in addition to fancy cheeses, then they may like it much better.

Cancer – Spicy Foods

Cancer is a sensitive sign, as it is the first water sign of the zodiac. Those who have this sign can also be known to live to eat. However, Cancers also have sensitive digestive tracts. That is why spicy foods such as chili peppers, jalapeno, or wasabi are the worst thing for Cancer. Therefore, if Cancer has a sushi craving, then remove the wasabi and throw in extra ginger. Ginger is good for digestion anyway.

Cancer may also have a strong dislike of anything spicy, and that is not a coincidence whatsoever.

Leo – Refined Carbohydrates

Leo is a fixed fire sign, and those with the sign can be active during some moments and sedentary during other moments. That depends on their mood. However, they may choose to be active for an hour of the day and then lie around and watch TV for the rest of the day.

Leo should strictly limit refined carbohydrates such as white flour, white rice, potatoes, and sugar if that is the case. That will only tire them out more and cause sugar crashes. Before any activity, Leo should concentrate on eating complex carbs such as whole grains, non-starchy vegetables, and fruit in addition to proteins. That will provide them with the energy they require to do what they need to do without causing a sugar crash.

Virgo – Foods That Are Rich and Heavy

Virgo is all about health, and those who have their sun, moon, or rising sign in Virgo tend to be health-conscious. That is why those with the sign will be the ones to create their recipes and cook them up in the ways they choose. Virgo makes their smoothies that consist of healthy fruits and vegetables.

However, their lower digestive tract can be sensitive. That is why rich foods such as heavy creams, sauces, cheesecake, and other decadent desserts are not ideal foods for Virgo to eat. Those foods can quickly put Virgo off as well because they intuitively know that would upset their stomachs.

Libra – Foods with Yeast, Acidy Foods, Refined Sugar

Libra is all about balance. However, with beautiful Venus ruling the sign, Libra can run into some trouble regarding their diet. Libra can crave sugary foods such as candy and anything with refined sugar. That will cause their bodies to go out of balance. That will only cause Libra to feel worse physically and mentally, and they will struggle with fatigue and lethargy.

That is why Libra is best to stick to an alkaline diet and avoid anything too acidy and made with refined sugar. Therefore, Libra can still enjoy chocolate, as long as it consists of 70 percent cacao. An alkaline diet will help Libra maintain balance.

Scorpio – Processed Food

Scorpio is naturally intense, and their moods can be unpredictable. That is why Scorpio will not do well with processed foods such as pre-packaged foods from the supermarket and fast food. Refined sugar and trans fats can be detrimental to their mood and their overall health.

That is why Scorpio should avoid all processed foods and stick to fresh and organic food such as fruits, vegetables, lean meats, fish, and healthy fats. If you are a Scorpio and pick up a frozen dinner from the supermarket, you will want to put that back and go for something organic instead.

Sagittarius – Foods That Cause Sleepiness

Sagittarius is on the go all of the time. Being alert is the one thing that is essential to those with this sign. The worst thing that a Sagittarius can eat is any food that can cause sleepiness, such as honey, oatmeal, bananas, turkey, or even cheese. Therefore, a breakfast consisting of oatmeal and a banana is the worst possible thing for a Sagittarius to eat.

The adventure they have set for the day won’t end up happening because Sagittarius will not have the energy. Sticking to foods such as dark chocolate and yogurt that will make Sagittarius happy and energetic is what they should do.

Capricorn – Exotic Food

Capricorn is an earthy and straightforward sign. That is why they do best when it comes to healthy and traditional cuisines regardless of the culture. However, when it comes to exotic and eccentric foods such as lobster ice cream, fried butter, or candied insects are the very things that Capricorn should avoid.

Those exotic foods are not suitable for the digestive tract, and besides, Capricorn is too traditional for them to go for those foods anyway. Their intuition would tell them to stay away from something too unusual, and the intuition never lies.

Aquarius – Plain Foods

Aquarius lives for excitement, and this progressive sign would not go for foods that lack excitement, such as plain bagels, plain salads, or any food without any seasoning. If you give an Aquarius something plain and boring, they will only take a few bites out of it and play with the rest. That won’t nourish them at all.

Therefore, if you want to give Aquarius a bagel, make sure the bagel consists of unique toppings such as a variety of seeds. Add something to it, such as a hazelnut spread like Nutella or honey, or something else that will entice them to eat it.

Pisces – Acidic or Spicy Foods

Pisces is a sensitive water sign, and this is the most sensitive of all of the zodiac signs. That is why you want to avoid giving Pisces any type of spicy or acidic foods. That means citrus foods are not a good idea for Pisces to eat or chili peppers, or anything else that Cancer should avoid.

However, the good news is that Vitamin C is in other fruits that Pisces can eat, such as blueberries and other berries. They can take supplements as well. Just because Pisces should avoid citrus fruits and other acidic foods like tomatoes does not mean they would increase their chances of developing scurvy.

However, if you happen to be Cancer and love your nachos with jalapeno peppers, don’t worry too much. If you happen to be an Aries and you cannot wake up unless you have your morning cup of java, don’t worry either. Your moon sign could have more of an effect on you regarding the type of foods to eat and avoid.
