How to Use your 3rd Chakra: Manipura Chakra

Manipura chakra is useful to achieve release from negative emotions and strengthen your personality or confidence.

A release from negative emotions

If you find it hard to get rid of your negative emotions, you can find some release through this practice.

  • Take 5 or 10 minutes just for you.
  • Move to a quiet place that you like where no one will disturb you.
  • Sit down on a chair in a comfortable position, with your back straight, hands flat on your thighs, palms turned up to the sky.
  • Close your eyes and focus on your abdominal breathing. Start breathing in through the nose while inflating your abdomen, then block the air for 2 to 3 seconds. Then breathe out through the mouth by contracting your abdomen and block your breathing for 2 to 3 seconds.
  • Repeat this cycle of abdominal breathing for 5 minutes or 50 full abdominal breathing cycles in a row (at a pace of 10 cycles per minute).
  • By the end of this exercise, you should feel less tension, less anxiety, less fear, and feel more optimistic and healthy.

  • Visualize or focus on the image of your 3rd chakra for 5 minutes or 50 abdominal breathing cycles and say, for instance: “Let the visualization of my Manipura chakra help me clear my mind of negative emotions so that they do not control me anymore.”
  • While you keep focusing on the image of your 3rd chakra for 5 minutes or 50 abdominal breathing cycles, visualize yourself once your problem has been solved (for instance, being happy not to feel negative emotions anymore).
  • Finish this problem-solving exercise by saying in a firm voice:

“My Manipura chakra has now been activated so that I might stop feeling negative emotions from now on!”.

  • Repeat this ritual at least once a week until your negative emotions stop, or at least become few and far between.

Useful advice

This visualization exercise won’t be enough on its own to get rid of all your negative emotions, but it will make it happen sooner. You must also play your part by avoiding expressing negative emotions or to shut them down as soon as you can if you did not manage to stop them from appearing altogether.

Having a strong personality is very important to be more confident and be successful in your projects and in your life.

  • Take 5 or 10 minutes just for you.

  • Say, for example:

“Let the visualization of my Manipura chakra help me have a stronger personality.”

  • While you keep focusing on the image of your chakra for 5 minutes or 50 abdominal breathing cycles, visualize yourself once your problem has been solved (for instance, see yourself as someone with a lot of confidence).
  • Perform this exercise by stating in a firm voice:

“My Manipura chakra has now been activated so that I might express my strong personality and unshakeable confidence on a daily basis!”

  • Repeat this ritual at least once a week until the problem in question has been solved and you can express a lot of confidence in your everyday life.

Useful advice

This visualization exercise won’t be enough on its own to overcome your problem, but it will facilitate the process. You still must play your part by tapping into the creative ideas that will come to your mind in order to express great confidence.
