Chiron in Aries 2019 2026

Chiron in Aries (2019 to 2026) – Healing Independence

An astrology chart is a two-dimensional representation of the solar system when you took your first breath.  Points in the chart include both astronomical bodies, like the Sun, Moon, and Mercury, as well as calculated points, like the angles (Ascendant, Imum Coeli, Medium, and Descendant) and the Nodes of the Moon.

Each point represents an aspect of human personality.  The Sun is the primary drive, while Saturn represents our patterns and how we make or respond to rules.  This article will look at Chiron, which represents wounding and healing.  It is currently moving through Aries, which it entered in 2019, and it will exit in 2026.

Chiron – The Wounded Healer

Chiron in the chart reveals the type of wound you need to heal (by sign) and where the wound work is focused in your life (by house).  In Take Control with Astrology by Lisa Tenzin-Dolma, she states, “The attributes of Chiron include self-empowerment, wisdom, and mentoring. Your ability to unearth and heal any deep-seated patterns that derive from past experiences enables you to become more whole in yourself and to develop compassion towards others.” (69)

When this comet/minor planet transits another point and through a house, it activates energy that wants to address and heal wounds related to the point and the house.  Identifying the wound and working on healing solutions is a three to four-month process for a point and a four to seven-year process for a house.

Chiron in Aries

Aries represents our independence, individuality, and survival instinct.  Chiron moving through this sign means healing wounds related to these categories in our lives.  The last time Chiron was in Aries was 1968 to 1976, moving through the end of the counterculture movement of the sixties towards the “swinging” seventies.  Daily life in America expanded the freedoms introduced by the counter culture of the 1960s under Chiron’s transit through Aries.

Chiron in Aries in the Houses

1st House – Identity

If Aries rules the first house in your chart, then healing work focuses on your identity.  You need to identify and accept your authentic self, even if that means being a maverick in the eyes of others. You need to heal “the self” by mastering self-discipline.

2nd House – Finances

If Aries rules the second house in your chart, then healing work focuses on your personal finances and security.  You do not want to be restricted because you do not have your own money and cannot take care of yourself financially.  You need to be self-sufficient to heal.

3rd House – Communication (Worldview)

If Aries rules the third house in your chart, then healing work involves speaking up and out, sharing your authentic voice with those closest to you.  You want to be able to speak freely and think independently.  You need to be honest to heal.

4th House – Family

If Aries rules the fourth house in your chart, then healing work involves finding the freedom to be authentic in or, if necessary, outside your family.  The family may have wounded you with too much restriction or not enough guidance (too much freedom).  You need to be accepted as your own person within your family or go your own way without them.

5th House – Children, Creativity, and Love Affairs

If Aries rules the fifth house in your chart, then healing involves finding and expressing healthy self-empowerment and confidence.  You have to overcome the wound of rejection or narcissism in order to be the best version of yourself.  You need to live a life of integrity.

6th House – Service and Health

If Aries rules the sixth house in your chart, then healing comes when you can use your skills to help others AND take care of yourself.  Your wound involves being trapped in service to others or unable to integrate into society by being too selfish.  You need to work independently and make enough to sustain yourself.

7th House – Partnerships

If Aries rules the seventh house in your chart, then your wound to heal has to do with the proper balance between asking for help and doing life your own way.  Your wound involves actions and behaviors that make you lonely.  You need to be trusted and allowed to be your own person in a relationship.

8th House – Shared Resources and Intimacy

If Aries rules the eighth house in your chart, then wounding and healing involves intimacy and sharing your resources with a lover.  You need to find a way to be vulnerable without feeling weak.

9th House – Mastership and Authority

If Aries rules the ninth house in your chart, then healing comes when you become an independent expert and assert your authority regarding a well-researched and developed belief.  You struggle with authority, and only heal when you acknowledge your personal authority without needing to attack others for their beliefs.  You need to be open-minded and resolute.

10th House – Prosperity

If Aries rules the tenth house in your chart, then your wound is most likely triggered by working for someone else or under a business structure.  You heal when you can be your own boss or build your career in some independent and entrepreneurial way.

11th House – Community

If Aries rules the eleventh house in your chart, then healing happens when you can be an individual loved by your community for your individuality.  Going your own way needs to be embraced by the community, which will heal wounds caused by restrictive expectations and conformity.

12th House – Spirituality

If Aries rules the twelfth house in your chart, then healing happens when you accept that you need to have your own beliefs and individualistic sense of purpose.  You suffer wounds when you are expected to self-sacrifice, rather than self-empower.

Chiron in Aries in the 5th House of the US Chart

Chiron resides in the 5th House of the US birth chart, so the US is experiencing another Chiron return (every 50 years).  The wounding has to do with recognition, narcissism, and selfishness.  To heal, the country must remember that the ideals of individualism were a strength of the community for this country.  Every man and woman for himself or herself is the wound.  Being authentic, but helpful to others and society is the healing work.
