3 Quick Meditation Techniques to Stay Calm During Holiday Chaos

Happy holidays, everyone! The holidays bring a surge of energy, both constructive and destructive. This intensity can feel overwhelming. Many people get distracted by deadlines and duties instead of enjoying the magic of the season. It’s easy to feel like your plans are falling apart. However, with a few simple meditation techniques, you can reclaim your calm and joy. Let’s explore how to get centered and fully enjoy the holidays.

Even highly spiritual people can struggle to bring the magic they believe in into the physical world. The material world often feels heavy and chaotic, making it hard to see the energy and potential behind it. Yet, beneath the surface, the energy you connect with is always there, waiting to be tapped into. It’s about bridging the unseen and the tangible, turning belief into action, and letting your magic transform your surroundings. With the right mindset and tools, you can infuse your holidays with the energy of wonder and possibility. Let’s dive in!

1. Don’t Believe all Thoughts

When life feels chaotic, return to your center. Take control instead of letting circumstances overwhelm you. Try a “manifestation dance” to reconnect with how you want to feel during the holidays. Choose a favorite song, dance to it, and share your vision with the universe or someone you trust. This small act can realign your energy and remind you of your inner power.

If someone creates chaos, don’t try to control them. Focus on fulfilling your plans independently. For example, if someone forgets their promise, find another solution. Use your third eye to intuitively explore new guidance and directions.

If something feels impossible, you may be looking in the wrong place. Ask for clarity to understand your true path.

Quick Third Eye Technique:

  • Reject Unwanted Thoughts: Consciously say “no” to any thought leading to an unwanted outcome.
  • Breathe and Visualize: Take a deep breath, focus on your third eye, and bring in color. When unbalanced, it can feel divided—red on the right and blue on the left. Visualize these colors merging into purple in the center as you breathe. Once balanced, focus on where you want to direct negative energy, and exhale it out of your third eye. Feel the calm as you realign. With clarity restored, you’ll find it easier to navigate challenges and manifest the holiday energy you truly want.

2. Know how to Breathe

The quickest meditation technique to calm yourself is through mindful breathing. Focus on the part of your body that feels tense. If your heart feels overactive, breathe into that area, accumulating energy there. The fresh energy will dissolve or transmute the tension into something positive. Place a hand on the area of tension as you breathe. The warmth of your hand combined with your focused breathing can amplify the sense of connection and release.

Imagine soothing a wound with the perfect oil or temperature. Breathing into the tension works the same way. You can advance this technique by breathing out the remnants of negative energy. Visualize exhaling it from your body completely.

Combine your breath with rhythmic mental pulses. For example:

  • Inhale for a count of 4 as you visualize energy accumulating in the tense spot.
  • Hold for a count of 4 while imagining the energy growing brighter or more vibrant.
  • Exhale for 6, releasing tension.

The rhythm helps regulate your body’s stress response and promotes deeper relaxation.

3. The Tree of Life (or Christmas Tree) Technique

This technique grounds you and helps you feel secure. A tree mirrors the connection between the earth and the sky. Begin by imagining golden or violet roots growing from your right foot, spreading in the direction you choose. Do the same with your left foot.

Take three deep breaths and feel yourself absorbing what you need from the ground. Pull the energy upward through your body, toward your head, with each breath. Once the energy reaches your crown chakra, repeat the process with the branches growing upward.

This time, visualize the branches extending into the sky, connecting you to divine energy. From here feel free to freestyle just like decorating a Christmas tree. With your pores open, pull in the energies you need into different parts of your body.

The middle of the above and below is the sun. The solar plexus is our core. As the energies meet in your body, focus briefly on your solar plexus or heart chakra. Imagine it as a glowing sphere where the two energies mix, creating a central hub of empowerment, peace, and flow. Now, visualize a sunrise over the sea. Picture the warm sun emerging slowly from the water. This is the perfect meeting point of your solar plexus (your power center) and your heart (your sea of emotions). Let this light rise within you, filling your body with its golden warmth. This is especially powerful in winter when the external world feels cold.

Remember, just because the environment is limited doesn’t mean you need to dim yourself to fit in. Let your roots and branches expand beyond the space you’re given. Use this process to manifest the impossible.

4. Everything is fine

Never let your holidays be ruined again! Remember, all the resources you need are within you. In the energy world, everything is possible. Don’t let the rude lady at the shop distract you. You know the magic of the holidays is real, even though she has forgotten it.. The power to create a magical season is always in your hands.

No matter how chaotic things seem, you are the calm in the storm and the light in the dark. Remind yourself: you’re not here to shrink—you’re here to expand, manifest, and to bring joy into the world.

Take these steps, hold your vision, and let the joy of the holidays flow freely. Remember, love is the strongest in the dark!
