What Zodiac Signs Claim the Most Olympic Medals?

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games finished just a few days ago, and the Paralympic Games are now in full swing. I absolutely LOVE the Olympics, and I couldn’t resist analyzing the zodiac signs of the athletes who won the most medals. Léon Marchand dazzled at the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning four gold medals, setting as many Olympic records, and also winning a bronze. His remarkable performance placed him at the top of the medal table for individual athletes. Could all of this be influenced by his zodiac sign? And what about the others? Do they all share the same zodiac sign? Let’s take a look at the medalists’ zodiac signs!

A Beautiful Podium

  1. Léon Marchand (FRA): 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal
  2. Torri Huske (USA): 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals
  3. Mollie O’Callaghan (AUS): 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal
  4. Simone Biles (USA): 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal
  • Summer McIntosh (CAN): 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal
  1. Shinnosuke Oka (JAP): 3 gold medals, 1 bronze medal
  2. Lisa Carrington (NZL): 3 gold medals
  • Woo-jin Kim (KOR): 3 gold medals
  • Si-hyeon Lim (KOR): 3 gold medals
  • Harrie Lavreysen (NED): 3 gold medals

What Can We Conclude?

I have to say, I didn’t expect such disparities! You might have thought that one zodiac sign would dominate, but that’s not the case at all!

Signs That Are Missing

One thing is clear at first glance: not all zodiac signs are represented among the top medalists. I see a Taurus, a Sagittarius, an Aries, two Pisces, a Leo, a Scorpio, a Cancer, and two Geminis. But where are the Virgos, Capricorns, Libras, and Aquarians? They didn’t make the top 10! And it’s amusing to note that these four signs belong to the Earth (Virgo, Capricorn) and Air (Libra, Aquarius) elements. These two elements are known for sometimes lacking self-confidence, being less grounded in the present, and having a tendency to procrastinate. These personality traits might explain their absence from the podium of the most-medaled athletes at the 2024 Olympics.

The Most Athletic Zodiac Sign Is Here

Traditionally, Aries is considered the most athletic zodiac sign. With its explosive nature, practicality, and headstrong approach, Aries is most inclined toward physical effort and athletic success. This year, an Aries made it to the podium among the athletes who won the most: swimmer Mollie O’Callaghan. It’s somewhat ironic that this fire sign excels in water, but it’s likely this contrast between her astrological element and the environment in which she competes that makes her so strong. Moreover, Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, which might hint at Mollie’s frequent place on the podium!

Two Athletes Born on the Same Day

You might have noticed that two Olympic medalists were born on the same day of the same year: gymnast Simone Biles and cyclist Harrie Lavreysen. The only difference is their birthplace: the United States for Simone and the Netherlands for Harrie. What could this signify?

First, both Simone and Harrie are Pisces. It would be stereotypical to think that Pisces are only suited for water sports, given that gymnastics and cycling are far from that! However, Simone’s deep sensitivity, which places mental health at the forefront of her life, is a hallmark of Pisces. She doesn’t see success as an end in itself and often highlights her competitors’ achievements. She’s already accomplished everything! Additionally, Pisces’ sensitivity and creativity are evident in Simone’s gymnastics choreography. As for Harrie, track cycling can be seen as active meditation, resonating deeply with Pisces’ personality.

Two Geminis in Archery

Among the top 10 athletes, we can mention two South Koreans: Lim Si-hyeon and Kim Woo-jin, both of whom won 3 gold medals in archery. They are both Geminis. One might wonder how Gemini, the most versatile and adaptable zodiac sign, can excel in one of the most precise sports like archery. Well, here’s the explanation! With their adaptability and sharp understanding of their surroundings, Geminis know exactly when to release their arrow to hit the bullseye. It’s also worth noting that Kim Woo-jin and Lim Si-hyeon won a gold medal in the mixed team event, showcasing their combined athletic and psychological skills.

Swimmers Not From the Water Element

I mentioned Léon Marchand earlier, but he’s not the only swimmer who won an impressive number of Olympic medals. Four swimmers are among the top four on the podium: Léon Marchand, Torri Huske, Mollie O’Callaghan, and Summer McIntosh. And none of them belong to a water sign! Instead, we see Earth and Fire signs, far removed from the swimming pool! However, Earth signs are known for their methodical and determined nature, while Fire signs are known for their risk-taking and impulsiveness—qualities essential for excelling in speed swimming!

There’s one exception, though: Lisa Carrington, a kayaker, is a Cancer! I don’t need to explain how she embodies her zodiac sign, do I?

Lisa Carrington

A Muscular Scorpio

I’ll conclude with Shinnosuke Oka, as he’s perhaps the athlete who most embodies his zodiac sign, along with Lisa Carrington. The young Japanese gymnast is extraordinarily powerful, winning medals in nearly every event (individual and team all-around, horizontal bar, parallel bars). Shinnosuke Oka is a Scorpio, and for him, intensity is everything. To feel, to push beyond limits, to test boundaries—Scorpios need to know that their efforts weren’t in vain and demand outstanding results. “More,” says the Scorpio.

Athletes First and Foremost

In the end, astrology isn’t linear. Just because you’re a Pisces doesn’t mean you’ll be a great swimmer, nor does being an Aries mean you won’t be able to swim! Through sports, you can tap into the physical and mental strengths of your zodiac sign to go beyond your limits.
